LIKE THE NEW LOOK?

In response to comments: Yes I did make some changes to my blog layout recently due to Blogger implementing them for our use. I like the way it looks. I try not to make it too complicated and keep it organized. My Owl ACEO sold so I relisted another one. It is my 200th sale, it happened today, and this customer will be getting a special gift from Glenna's Garden along with this adorable vintage owl art card they purchased. I have it in another design as well. I am an owl lover so I may keep one of the other cards. I have been "busy as a bee" listing new summer items in my shop and there is a bunch more to go. Humidity was 87% this morning and it was 70 degrees. It is HOT!!!!!!!!!! We need rain looks dark to the North. Big black clouds too. YAY!

TGIF It's Feeling Fresh

With summer winding down and Fall emerging soon this is the time of the year at Glenna's Garden when the birds start to get hungry. They eat many seeds especially sunflower seeds right off of the flower head, well the ones that the squirrels don't steal first. I too have started to create in Fall colors and themes. Birds are my favorite theme so you will soon start see them regurlarly for sale in my gallery shop at http://www.gnormyle.etsy.com/ Owls being my favorite set the stage. Where did you get that necklace?

Today it was mild out and only 68 not very sunny up here either at Glenna's Garden in Manchester, NH. I have started to make items for Father's Day for my shop. I made this beautiful duck card from a textured duck print with two tone blue papers and it comes with an envelope. This is nice I can post my items here before I post them for sale in my shop at http://www.gnormyle.etsy.com/ if you like any of them and want it email me at gnormyle@yahoo.com in the next couple of days. All of my cards sell for $2.50 plus shipping which is minimal. Let me know me know ASAP before I start to post them in my shop so I can make a reservation for you. I use PayPal.

Mondays are nice I am usually ready to start to get busy again. I sent out 5 more orders today and one more so far for tomorrow. I know my customers are happy because I always get good ratings. About a month ago I was out and about downtown Manchester , NH and I found this beautiful triple acorn necklace. I am not sure if it is vinatge, I was told it is, but it is absolutely stunning. There are three darling topaz amber glass beads as acorns each topped with a gold textured cap and they are hanging on a beautiful fairly heavy gold chain. In very good condition too. I have not put this necklace up for sale yet in my shop because I am thinking about wether or not I want to keep it until Fall for myself. It is so nice! Wishing for Etsy Shop Sales and Custom Orders

Today I got a surprise gift from a seller I had purchased from a couple of times. Now that is a true PIF. Just like my PIF's which are FREE at my shop http://www.gnormyle.etsy.com/

I joined http://www.vintagepulse.com/ yesterday. Today ironically I was given a vintage meat grinder so now I have two vintage meat grinders. I also was given a creamer today that I want to know more about so I contacted http://www.replacements.com/ they said they needed more info on that item and my Capistrand R8338 Japan soup bowl. I am sure it is vintage as well. It takes about a week to get an answer back from http://www.replacements.com/ so I am waiting. Meanwhile I have been busy at Glenna's Garden I started making ACEO/ATC pressed flower pictures. I made a young lady dressed in pressed flowers. My first one I really hope she goes to a good home. She can be seen at http://www.gnormyle.etsy.com/ . This is the smallest work I have done with my pressed flowers and greenery. I truly enjoyed making her. It took me several hours to do. I now have her protected in a plastic sleeve. My custom projects involve much more detail like this lampshade I did recently. I am learning all about vintage. I have always been drawn to vintage. A lot of my handmade decorated boxes, cards, stationery and bookmarks are adorned with vintage papers. There is much thought and design that goes into using vintage papers so that you can preserve as much of the original vintage paper as possible. I have purchased many high quality vintage cards and papers from seller's on Etsy. So that now I actually have a backlog of designs and projects to do. I have seriously been thinking about opening a second Etsy shop for supplies only. I have collected so many unique and some vintage items over many years. One of the really neat, newest additions to Glenna's Garden is a 2" vintage owl pendant which can be seen in the picture at the top of this blog. Very unique....please let me know if you have seen an owl pendant like this one. Well it is time for me to go back to the garden and plant some more seeds. Blessings~*~Glenna from Glenna's Garden~*~
