The End of the Month

It is a day or two to the end of the first month of 2011. It has been a crazy month here for extreme weather, lots of snow and subzero temperatures. Here is southern New Hampshire. I finally made the trip to see my sister in MA and our other sister flew up from SC. I went with my sons and grandsons. That was two weekends ago. Fun was had by all! I am eagerly anticipating a new computer next month. Thus the reason for my lack of participation online and Glenna's Garden shop has been closed. I am using my son's computer still yet! Praying nothing goes wrong to make it look like I broke it. I am also starting to prep a bunch of items for photos for my shop. I still want to get an ott-lite. I will be checking them out today. Anybody have any good tips for taking photos indoors and using an ott-lite?

THIS WEEK AT GLENNAS GARDEN

This week I have been busy making pinwheels, tags, more bookmarks to sell in the shop, some of these items may make it into Glenna's Garden at http://www.gnormyle.etsy.com/ The tags have cats on them, very cute and I used handmade paper for them. I also purchased some beautiful flower images and had one hard time printing them so rather than throw away all of the mistakes I created tags and bookmarks with them. I hate to throw things away. I was trying to print out 4 ACEO backgrounds which I eventually did figure out. I managed to get some photography done. I have a fantastic designer in Auckland. We met on ETSY. We were able to get 20 of my photos watermarked. I will share two pictures here today as well as they will be for sale at Glenna's Garden.

Spring is just starting here in New Hampshire. Today it is very cool and rainy again.

The pictures of this weeks creations such as tags etc...I just wrote about are not downloaded into the computer yet! The pinwheels are turning out really cute. I will share them with you later maybe today will be another double blog posting day or you will just have to wait until tomorrow. You can always visit Glenna's garden 24/7 at www,gnormyle.etsy.com for unique gifts from art to vintage.

WHAT YOU WISH FOR WEDNESDAY

In the middle of the summer don't you just wish for a break from the heat. This morning it is cool and 66. That is what we are now having up here at Glenna's Garden in Manchester, NH and then 20 degrees hotter by afternoon and thunderstorms. Is it Fall? Can't be I was hoping for an Indian Summer...endless summer say just 70's! I decided that today I would finish all Fall projects, including the canvas and then start posting them to my shop at http://www.gnormyle.etsy.com/ I recently redid the shop product lineup so I am now ready to post more art and Fall projects. This takes preplanning. I also have to watermark some more of my art and photographs prior to posting. They get sent to my designer through email and she watermarks them for me and sends them back to me via email. I am going to have to order supplies for Christmas next month. I have some to get a start I posted a PIF known as a Pay It Forward fabric bookmark in hearts and holly leaves in my shop at www.gnormyle.etsy.com

TGIF It's Feeling Fresh

With summer winding down and Fall emerging soon this is the time of the year at Glenna's Garden when the birds start to get hungry. They eat many seeds especially sunflower seeds right off of the flower head, well the ones that the squirrels don't steal first. I too have started to create in Fall colors and themes. Birds are my favorite theme so you will soon start see them regurlarly for sale in my gallery shop at http://www.gnormyle.etsy.com/ Owls being my favorite set the stage. I have set my featured items at Glenna's Garden to be in a Fall decor. Stop by my showcase art gallery at www.putiton.com/glennanormyle there you can see my Fall canvas in progress, art for sale and some that is not or sold......oh and my photography too.

Super Saturday

I love it when I get a sale in my shop on a Friday night. It makes my weekend. Well I got another one last night. I sold my turtle beads on a ring with beautiful ribbon. It is such a cute decoration. I was really hoping to make more beaded items. I have filled my shop with my art, photography and experimented with many different paper products and small gifts each one unique. I even have some vintage. I am on the hunt to find out what is popular and what isn't. I still haven't figured it out! Any suggestions I would really appreciate feedback.
