I found a taker for next weeks Feature Friday. You are going to love this person. She and her family are actively involved in charity work in California. She has a website and Etsy shop. I get the most fantastic deals on crafting supplies from her. In California they have shops that collect arts/crafts supplies much like a thrift shop. So this shop owner purchases there and is able to pass along substantial savings to buyers like myself. When you purchase from her you are making a donation towards various charities. So far this year she has raised $500.00 to put towards donations and their goal is $1,000.

Next Friday July 2, 2010 is also FIRSTFRIDAYARTWALK on ETSY. To find the shops that participate in this activity use the search words firstfridayartwalk, aweteam and ffaw on ETSY search. We also have Christmas in July coming up which is the 15th through the 25th of July 2010.

Yay today is the weekend and a trip downtown is planned. It is always fun to get out and walk to downtown where there is so much activity from sidewalk cafes to browsing in small shops, stopping in galleries, window shopping and parks. We have many parks here...more than an average city and per size. In addtion to parks there are so many beautiful older Victorian era homes that have huge beautiful gardens. My own garden is huge. I am charging up my batteries for my camera. I will be taking pictures along the way as I travel by foot to downtown and back. Tommorow I will blog about it! Have a safe and fun Saturday.
