Blessed Sunday Morning

But if we live in the light, as God is in the light, we can share fellowship with each other. Then the blood of Jesus, God's Son, cleanses us from every sin. 1 John 1:7

I am enjoying this weekend. Pretty much goofing off. Getting out with some friends and spending time outdoors. I had a picnic Friday night outside where I live with a friend, then we went to the club down the street from me yesterday and today I am supposed to get out again and go to the same club this afternoon some time..

Right now I am fighting the effects of a blood pressure medication increase and a change in my antidepressant. I am having weird head sensations, tons of blurry vision and tummy troubles. So I don't feel 100% but I need to get out. I didn't do much this summer becasue it was so HOT. I am praying Fall comes soon. I love to watch the leaves change here in Southern NH. Cool brisk walks kicking fallen leaves is fun. I have a project I want to try so I need to find a really large fallen leaf I can work with. Then I will paint it different colors and stamp it onto a white canvas.

I have found some neat websites recently so I thought I would share some with my readers.

These should all keep you busy. Enjoy!

I was given a box full of Christian books. Not all of these but some of them.

I have been reading lately. With no TV I have caught up on my magazines and even started reading a couple of these books I got.

The recent whole organization of this place I share with my son, a teeny tiny apartment. Well it has been so refreshing. We both have more to do. Not much!

I hope where ever you are you have a wonder filled blessed Sunday!

On this day of your life, Glenna, we believe God wants you to know ... that you can only give away what you already have inside yourself.
True giving happens when you are overflowing from the inside, and cannot help but share. When there is so much love within you that it has to flow to others or you would burst open. There is no thinking involved, no willpower in such sharing. It just flows out. If you have to force yourself to be kind, to love, to feel compassion, you've missed the first step of filling in your own Self with these emotions.

God is Love

✞ ✞ ✞ "God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. - 1 John 4:16 ✞ ✞ ✞

Thank you Praise Him for today!

Beautiful morning here in Southern NH cool lower humidity and the sun is out. I hope where ever you are that the weather is as lovely for you.

I am still praying for the victims of the Midwest drought and now the fires in Northern California as well.  Prayers help in times of need. Miracles do happen. God is good.

The writing is on the wall. This is my 4 year old grandson.

Sorry if this is your picture I don't see who took it. I will acknowledge
you right here if you prove to me it is your picture.

Praise Him for my grandsons!
On this day of your life, Glenna, we believe God wants you to know ... that every day you are choosing either to be grateful or to be disappointed.
You can worry to no end about what you don't have. Or you can marvel at God's breathtaking gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds. Could you create any of these? These miracles of life are always around you, ready to be celebrated, ready to be welcomed into your life.

Another Thank you God it is Friday!

Praise Him for today!

Yesterday was productive as far as cleaning and dusting mostly of the L/R and putting items away in storage. Wires are all neat now. Cable equipment and wires are gone and it looks nicer. Soon it will be Christmas and we have a place for a small tree. I never thought of it arranged this way ever. I don't have a tree but that is ok I love that I now know the spot is there for one.

It is still HOT and humid out. It turns into afternoon thunder and rain down pours. With A/C and fans it has made it tolerable inside here all summer. When I go outside I don't feel so great.

I am looking forward to Fall! The beautiful leaf color change is awesome here in southern NH and so are the crisp nights. Before a hard frost. Of course an Indian summer could extend into our September here. It is still quite warm this way.

I haven't done much today except for thoughts of further organization. I will start anew on Monday with projects I have to split up my art studio which now exists in the D/R area which is 5 feet by 8 feet. Not joking either. Further organization is needed here. There are places where things crafting related that are sometimes used can be moved to in another room. I am so happy that my son and I are doing this. After being somewhere for 6 years it feels good to change things up around here a bit.

What's for Brunch?

http://www.delish.com/food-fun/best-brunch-cities-us#slide-1

I am ready for lunch. Breakfast was light pancakes alone which isn't enough. Well and two cups of coffee too with fake sugar and soymilk. I am wanting substance. Maybe a cheese sandwich and fruit would be good.

I could go for some Chesapeake Bay blue crabs right now. I sure do miss eating them. Lobster to me isn't as good as crabs. You have to steam them too. None of this boiling of seafood! Come on!

Where ever you are I hope you have a wonder filled end of the summer weekend!

A Friend

"A friend loves at all times." Proverbs 17:17

How many people can you say you have for friends? Internet or in person. I can say a handful of each. Perfectly balanced out to make me happy.

It is raining again today. We need it so I won't complain plus it has cooled the air down nicely. We don't need fans or A/C for now at 8:30 AM EST in Southern NH. I haven't checked the weather report today yet. I am going out to run errands with my son later. Get him on track with job searching, hoping and praying he gets an unemplyment check too and we can at least start an application for food stamps. This is giving me the opportunity to show him the ropes a bit. I was laid off twice in one year. He wasn't exactly laid off but let go. No warning really! I  pray Lord you help my son to keep the faith and his hopes up. Please help him find a suitable job soon.

Praise Him! My sister has renters in both of her homes and her son is finally working again. Now she is having trouble with her new job. Fortunately she is schooled in a much needed part of the medical field. She has been at it a long time. Lord please help her to adjust or find a new company to work for. I am really hoping that I can get out of this area this winter and make my way South. I read an article this morning that said we are in for a rough winter. After last years practically no snow it wouldn't surprise me. I am ready for it. Hoping we (son and I) can pay the utilities I have rent covered for the next two months.

I saw my nurse yesterday I finally had a great blood pressure and pulse reading. I see my doctor the first week of September. I am so looking forward to Fall! Cooler temperatures, crisp air, smell of smoke from fireplaces, outdoor activities and the leaf change. Are you looking forward to Fall?

I hope and pray where ever you are that you enjoy a wonder filled Thursday!

The Day After

✞ ✞ ✞ "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." - 2 Corinthians 5:17 ✞ ✞ ✞

It is raining and very much cooler out I am sure here in Southern NH. That's a good thing Praise Him for this rainy day. I always have things to do when it rains. Today is no different. I have errands and a nurse appointment to check my blood pressure later on today.

The new is coming. My son and I are going to the unemployment office this morning. I pray that my son gets an unemployment check and food assistance maybe even some cash assistance when needed. Not that he also isn't going to look for a job right away. We have a small threshold. I will have enough in my bank account to cover the next 2 months rent. We have an electric bill and just paid the gas bill. Funny that we decided to let the cable internet phone bill for $199.00 a month go. It is turned off. I don't even miss the TV and we have a new internet service for $44.00 a month. Praise Him he knew what was coming our way!

I have a couple of swaps I am working on. I may want to cut back. As this new situation has an impact on me I am sure I will need my energy in other ways. Support my son the most I can is what I am thinking. Not monetarily because we live together but emotionally.

I found a few good recipes yesterday:

Enjoy! Let me know if you try them how they are.

I have seen better days and the promise is that they will come. Thank you Lord.

My Son Lost His Job Today

He, my adult son, is at home and it is the middle of the afternoon. I hope he gets a job quickly. We are going to the unemployment office tomorrow morning. Seven years with a company and a new district manager just lets him go. Please pray with me that he finds a job. These times are tough all over the country. This just turned my life upside down too. We live together. Lord I ask that you provide what we need I know you will I trust in you! Thank you for this opportunity for a change for me too perhaps. Life just through us a curveball. What is in God's plan for him for me?

I am encouraged, blessed and highly favored by God. "You have granted me life and favor, and Your care has preserved my spirit." Job 10:12

On this day of your life, Glenna, we believe God wants you to know ... that there is no such thing as a problem without a Divine gift hidden within it.
You have these problems because you need the gifts they carry within.
This will be a lesson for sure for both of us. I am so grateful I am right here with my son.

Brownie Mix and you could expeirment with this too. I have not tried it yet.

Move on Over it is Monday

✞°°°♥°°°✞°°°♥°°°✞°°°♥°°°✞°°°♥°°°✞°°°♥°°°✞

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Happy Monday!

It is another beautiful day Praise Him! I am looking forward to finishing up a large organization plus dusting project in my place here. Looking for more room so I am moving things to storage. One day I hope and pray I move to a bigger place. Well of course one day it will be Heaven and you can't take things with you. While I am here I want less congestion less to dust and less to look at. Plus I am sure my son that lives here would appreciate it too.

I am feeling crafty and want to draw mostly. I may get a picture in my mind and draw it today. I love the "Masked Owl" ink ACEO I did yesterday. I put it up on Facebook and others liked it too.

I have seen a beautiful garden or two around here and a couple of street art works that I need to photograph. It is so much prettier than graffitti on the garage doors and the side of a church.  I will get out for a walk and take pictures to share tomorrow.

My son and I made carver turkey stuffing gravy and mozzarella cheese on pre made pizza crust last night. (great idea for leftovers during the holidays) Yummmmm! Then we had fresh strawberries on lemon pound cake with whipped cream. I would make this again! In fact we bought enough to make some more. Maybe for lunch today!

I need to grocery shop today so hopefully I get out to do so today. I might have to call a friend for a ride. Tomorrow morning I have a regular doctor appointment. The rest of the week is open to praying crafts drawing cooking or whatever. Oh and I play Scrabble online. I wish I was getting away even if it was just for the day this summer. Looks like I am staying home. I am planning that winter getaway to FL. I need to save my money. Seems like I am always buying craft supplies. This month I bought a bunch of ribbon. More than I will ever need. I could sell it or auction it on Listia.

Love Snoopy and the gang!

Ever wonder what Zentangles are? Here are the official patternes you can use. I call mine Garden Tangles which is copywritten!

Be wise in the way you act with people who are not believers, making the most of every opportunity. When you talk, you should always be kind and pleasant so you will be able to answer everyone in the way you should. Colossians 4:5-6

On this day of your life, Glenna, we believe God wants you to know ... that all those little things that annoy you, are God's way of watching out for you.
You never know when an untied shoelace saves you from an onrushing car. On September 11th, one man was saved because he had to get donuts for his team; another because he developed a blister on his foot from wearing new shoes.

Have a wonder filled week ahead everyone!

Special Hot Sunday

Today is special Praise be to Him! It won't be like any other day for you and me.
It is is very muggy out and no sun yet. I was up at 4 AM and it is now 7:30AM EST as I start to blog away. I helped a friend at five AM EST get their totes out of my storage and walked one over to their place. Freedom! I have some room to fill up the space again later. Then I need to do a good vaccuum in here as soon as my son wakes up. I wish I had bags for the Kirby vac that was given to my son recently. I need to grocery shop today. I am hoping my son will take me. I want to buy a cart. For local shopping and help with getting things. Of course I also have lots of wall and heat vent dusting to do yet. The walls are very tall 20 feet or more very high ceilings in an otherwise tiny place. Praise Him thank you for this place here in the inner city in Southern NH. We got rain last night. Lots of thunder! Looks like I need to visit the drugstore again. Oh they don't have my new phone number. I need to call them today.
I have no time for being crafty I want my environment clean. I am not OCD but honestly I am tired of the allergies. The more dust I can get up the better off I will be.

It's never too late to start, and it's never too soon to take one more step on your pilgrimage.

Sultry Hot Saturday

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

This heat is going to continue right into August 2012. Not good. We need rain. The Midwest is in a drought. I am in NH and it is hot 90 is what it is supposed to be today. The electric companies are going to make out with all the A/C and fans going. My bill was double last month. I am staying in today and getting my domestic duties done today and hopefully my son can take me grocery shopping tomorrow.

I have no plans crafty wise for the rest of the weekend. I drew this owl ACEO this morning.

"Masked Owl" Ink ACEO by me (Glenna Normyle) 8/12

I have been into dots circles and polka dots lately. I am looking for those little pompoms in all sorts of colors. I am sure I will find them somewhere. I also love to draw owls. You should see my collection of owls ACEOs and ATCs. Imagine a real feathery one. Art that you touch and feel. I love to make ATC's and other size pages of art meant to be touched. You use another sense and the pleasure you get from the piece of art work is enhanced. All of my ACEO's Ink Drawings are right away protected with a clear plastic envelope that opens at the top.

My baby spider plants have babies now check this out. I have moved them out of the direct sun and put them up on some totes in front of the wandering jew cuttings that are rooting in my studio garden. Here are some recent pics as of today of the garden.

Baby spiders plants all grown up with babies of their own.

Early morning in the garden.

I love to do collages and this is one that I started last month and completed last month.

Fresh Friday

Praise Him for this new day! I am feeling creative and I have energy. I am organizing and cleaning up my place here. I feel better that things are looking better. I am not a hoarder but it sure was starting to look like it LOL not really.
Thank you for today! Where ever you are I hope you have a wonder filled weekend!

More Than 65 Cats Guard This Place~Awesome~
I love cats. I sure do wish I could have one cat here. No pets allowed!

On this day of your life, Glenna, we believe God wants you to know ... that you have to pass through a dark night of the soul.
Everyone does, including you. A time comes when what you have always believed is true melts away underneath you. When you cast in doubt even the most obvious, the most simple. When it seems that dark night is all around, and you are all alone. Take heart, this journey through abyss is the final barrier before your emergence into the heavenly light of a new synthesis of your being. God is waiting for you on the other side.
Yes He is!

Truly Trying Thursday

I seek patience. I think I finally connected to the internet by browsing around in my computer. Yesterday morning until just a few minutes ago. I have had nothing but problems connecting and/or staying connected to the Web. I just turned on wireless enabling. YAY! If I figured it out I am going to be the happiest woman in the world. Praise be to Him!

I have been organizing and putting stuff away in storage and another room. The L/R is looking nicer. Never mind my studio between the kitchen and the L/R which should be a very small D/R I will figure this out too. I have an organized desk as of yesterday which makes me really happy. Plus it looks nice when you have company over. Everything is neat!. I am so happy I am back up on the internet. YAY!

Praise Him my sister has a renter for her one of her homes. I am so happy for her. Thanks be to Him for helping her. Prayer works and God is good. Love Him and Thank Him!

Lord thank you for giving me the ability to blog. Lord thank you for my grandsons. I am missing them. It has been a month since Helen (their great grandmother) passed and that was when I saw them last. My things I have to give them are getting a plenty. I love to find toys for them at a deep discount. Most of the books I get are here at my place! They have many books at home. It is very important to have lots of books around children You honestly can never have too many. It makes kids much smarter to learn how to read at an early age. My Mother says she taught me to read at the age of 3 and from there I took off. We had no TV my parents didn't want it. We could have afforded it! Lord thank you for blessing me with my Mom and Dad and giving them the wisdom to raise me.

My son and I have no TV or phone ringing anymore YAY No more $199.00 a month cable bill. My son and I watch movies on Netflix. There are so many on there that I like or haven't even seen or heard of. Even some TV episodes I like. I just can't figure out how to make it work yet. It looks like I am wireless on the Web blogging away and the internet is working fine. I knew it! Everything always works out somehow. I believe in HIM!
